Patients Monitoring System

Abstract: 


        The patient monitoring system includes a patient-data-acquiring section and a monitor section. The patient data-acquiring section includes a data-inputting device for inputting at least one of two data items, the first data item representing a patient image, and the second data item representing the physical conditions of the patient. 


         In this application a robot is provided for the patient, which monitors the time and provides tablets for the patient with a voice. The robot is interfaced to suitably programmed micro-controller and the schedule of the patient’s details updated by the System through RS232

       The micro-controller is interfaced to the IR transmitter and receiver which senses the patient’s status whether he/she received tablet, water. If not for a certain period it will make awake to the patient. 

         If not for a long period immediately it will give alarm to the neighbors and also to the patient. Patient details will be updated through System. This would ensure reliable monitoring of patients in intensive and critical care units

Operation: 


       Micro controller is interfaced with the Display Device like LCD, for user convenience. Motor is interfaced with the controller through the driver circuitry which will make the direction for the robot. 

        Voice I.C is interfaced with the controller which can record and playback the voice. Information about the patient and instructions for the robot can be updated by the system through RS232 converter. IR receiver is used to sense whether the tablet has taken or not by the patient.
